Tanning Bed FAQ

Home > Tanning Beds Store > Tanning Bed FAQ

How can you sell such great equipment so cheap?
Low overhead. We are in a small central Illinois town with low costs.
Are the beds/bulbs new?
Yes, it is all new current year equipment.
Do I get everything I need to tan, or are there hidden costs?
You get everything you need! The beds come complete with all bulbs, bolts and even the wrench to put it together with. You get cleaner, sanitizer, eye protection and even lotion!
If get everything why are you telling me I may need a thing called a buck/booster?
Well, the bed IS complete and ready to tan in, but your location may not be ready for the bed. The beds do require between 220 and 230 volts. If the voltage at your location is outside that range you do need to correct the voltage buy adding a buck/booster. This will ensure that your bed tans as designed and will prolong the life of your bed.  NOTE THAT THE BUCK/BOOSTERS ARE NOT REQUIRED ON THE CANOPY SERIES UNITS NOR THE PRO 14SE or 16SE!
How long will the bulbs last?
About 1000 hours depending on your exact voltage. (And that is a lot of tans!)
Do the beds use a lot of electricity?
Not really. It of course depends on the bed, but about 10-25 cents per session.
Is the bed hard to put together?
No, but it will take two people. Most units take just 10 bolts and you will have them unpacked and assembled in under an hour.
How do I know if I have the right voltage?
If you have an electric oven, range, stove, dryer, water heater, central air or large window air conditioner you have two phase power (that is good!) To get the exact voltage you need to actually check it. You can have an electrician check it, or do it yourself. Voltage meters suitable for this are available at most hardware and home stores for under $15 - just read the instructions and be careful! You could also try calling your power company, some of them will come check it for you (if you ask nice!)
How is the tanning bed shipped?
Via a freight company. They will call you the day before they are ready to deliver to arrange a delivery time.
Will the delivering freight company bring the unit into my home and set it up for me?
No, unless you have made arrangements with us.  Most of these units can be brought inside your home for a small fee.  Setup requires a factory trained setup crew and is usually more costly.  Call us for a quote on inside delivery and/or setup.
How long does it take to get a bed?
Normally about a week anywhere in the continental US.
What if I change my mind after I order a bed and refuse the delivery?
Then you will be charged shipping to and from our warehouse, plus a 25% restocking fee.   Please review our Help Desk for more information!
What is the warranty on the bed?
All tanning units have a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Do you carry, sell, handle, or in any way come into contact with used or preowned beds?
No.  It has been our experience that usually once a bed is considered "used" is is very used.  It would be costly for us to take those used or preowned units, clean them up, make any repairs and sell them.  Besides, our prices on new beds are so incredibly low, why would you ever consider used?
